I didn't build this from the outside looking in. I've been inside. Everything BidBudz is came from what I saw and felt in there.
I come from a culture built on family. When I was locked up, my people didn't have much money — but they did the little things. Answered the phone. Wrote back. Sent mail. Those small things gave me a reason to wake up in the morning. And I saw how many men in there had nobody doing that for them.
Here's what I learned inside: a person doesn't stay still. Every day, you either go up or you go down. Two things decide which way — whether somebody out there is supporting you, and whether you're doing something productive with your time. Idle turns into bad habits, and bad habits turn into trouble. I've watched it happen.
I also learned it the hard way: real support was never about money. Give somebody money, they just spend it — there's no lesson in it. Real support is giving somebody an opportunity. A book. A chance to learn, to grow, to become more than where they are right now. That's what BidBudz sends inside — opportunity, not money.
I'm not a loud person. I'm an introvert, raised on humility and respect, and I've always kept my head down. Speaking up like this doesn't come natural to me. But the system keeps pushing people back, and something in me has to answer it — not for the money, not for the fame. You don't have to be on camera to give to somebody. This is genuine. It's just the right thing to do.
So that's what BidBudz is: a way to give people inside the two things that decide their direction — the support to stay connected to their people, and the opportunity to grow. The things my family gave me. The things too many people never get.
I hope it does some good — in a world that's got a lot of bad in it.
