Enter your BidBudz ID and PIN to see their balance and place an order.
This is their account — you manage it for them. Their balance stays theirs, and it only ever buys goods for them (never cash out).
Anyone can help — add BidBuckz and order books, letters, the Digest, or a care package for them. The difference is how much they can see and change:
One person is the admin — the manager the person inside chose. Everyone else who chips in is a supporter: they can still do for them, they just can't see the whole pot or change settings. Both can approve a big order if they hold the person's master key.
Their code — mailed to them, never spoken on a call. It approves the big stuff — a single over-limit order, changing the admin, or bringing them home. Each big order uses up the key; the next one needs a fresh key from them.
Most of what you send needs no key at all. Everyday orders — books, letters, groceries, the digest — up to about $50 each go through on their own. The master key is only for a big single order over that.
The key is the person inside's own code — it goes to them, and only they can hand it to you. Here's how, however they're held:
📧 They have email — tap "Email my key," it reaches them free in seconds, they share it with you.
📞 Phone but no email — mail them the key; they read it to you on their next call.
📬 Mail only / lockdown — we mail them a sheet of keys (mail always gets through). They use one at a time, in order — no waiting on a new key each time. Everyday things keep working meanwhile.
Nobody moves their money without their say-so — that's the point. It stays their account, their final say.
Three ways, however they're held: 📧 email · 📞 a call · 📬 mail. Mail is the safest — it always gets through.
📞On a call? Open the order menuThey say a number, you tap it — same numbers they use inside→👆 Tap any of these to see what your loved one can do inside. Mail reaches them even if they've lost other privileges; the Digest, Ask Bud, journal, and email work through their tablet if the facility allows it.
This address is theirs alone. Have them email it — or add it as an approved contact in their facility email system. It keeps their account on its own line: if one address is ever blocked, we hand them a fresh one and nobody else is touched.
Set them up once — this flows to their mailing address, their support page, and the family album. You only do this once. Look up the facility address →
No tablet or phone some days? 🖨️ Print a mail-order menu to send them → — they order a book or the digest with just numbers on paper. Or share 📬 how to write us by mail →
