Find the right mailing address

The address that actually delivers — not the one on the front gate.

⚠️ A prison has two addresses. Only one of them delivers mail.

FCI Beaumont Low's street address is 5560 Knauth Road. Mail sent there comes back. Inmate mail goes to P.O. Box 26020 — a different box, a different ZIP.

Google gives you the wrong one. We'll get you the right one.

1 Who are you sending to?

Don't know where they are right now?
That's normal — people get moved and nobody tells the family. Search their name here and it'll tell you the prison they're in today, plus their register number. You only need their name.

The register number is the one thing nobody can look up for you — it comes from that search, or off any letter they've sent you.

2 Which facility?

First, what kind of facility are they in? Match it word for word to what the locator or their letters show.

The prison directory comes live from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. State prisons and county jails aren't in it — for those, call the facility and ask for their inmate mailing address.
